Bazis’ Managing Partner Tatiana Barakshina holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Chicago, and several team members hold advanced degrees in sociology. While handling numerous client projects, we have paid close attention to participating in professional communities, charitable initiatives, industry exhibitions, and scientific conferences. 2024
We enhanced our expertise of working with the leading OEMs in b2b, healthcare and consumer electronics. One of the most exciting projects of the year was an NPI study for a leading truck manufacturer to explore new product solutions for transport operations. Bazis’ research team conducted expert interviews with over 80 equipment manufacturers and end-customers.
2023
The year began with Bazis Build team members Ekaterina Perina, Olga Adushkina, and Archana Ramakrishna conducting workshops in Cairo (Egypt), Cape Town (South Africa), and Kolkata (India) as part of a newly launched multi-country project for a leader in the industrial machinery sector. Face-to-face research and in-person meetings are in full swing once again.

2022
Bazis Health continued its work in the field of rare diseases. The team gathered and represented parents of children diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) at the global virtual Intellus Summit in April. Nadya Bodkin from Rare360 joined our roundtable discussion to explore the role of advocacy groups in facilitating communication between patients and pharmaceutical companies.
Researchers Anastasia Leontyeva and Anastasia Tsykareva supported Bazis’ efforts in this area by volunteering their research expertise to assist the Family Advocacy Group for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).
The Intellus Clear Health Communication Task Force, which includes Tatiana Barakshina, was recognized with the Intellus Impact Award for advocacy.
2021
This “Year of Adjustment” marked Bazis’ transition to a hybrid work model, improving online video interviewing skills and broadening access to audiences and regions traditionally limited to offline methods.
Bazis participated in key industry events with in-person attendance, including the annual Sawtooth Software Conference in San Antonio, USA, and the Research Expo 2020/21.
Anna Shevalova and Ekaterina Nemenko established long-term connections with caregivers and patients in the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) community. Originally launched as an ESOMAR “Research Got Talent” project, it evolved into an ongoing initiative focused on providing information and support to parents caring for children with this rare condition.
2020
The Bazis Build team launched in 2020 in Las Vegas, USA, at CONEXPO-CON/AGG, the largest construction exhibition in North America. Although travel plans were altered due to COVID-19, our team stayed busy with virtual events, including The Quirk Virtual Event and Intellus Worldwide. Bazis partner Tatyana Barakshina, along with other members of the Intellus Worldwide Health Literacy Initiative (HLI), received the 19th Annual Institute for Healthcare Advancement (IHA) Health Literacy Award in the “Research” category.
2019
This was a year of intensive travel and events for the Bazis team. It began in January with the Sawtooth training workshop in Fort Lauderdale, USA, and continued with the March Research Exhibition in Moscow. In July, the Bazis Health team spent several exciting days in Philadelphia, participating in the Intellus Worldwide Summit. Meanwhile, in Europe, Bazis Health attended EphMRA 2019 in Warsaw, Poland. In September, members of the Bazis Build team participated in the North American Caterpillar Dealer Conference in Louisville, USA. Finally, in November, the Bazis Agro team attended Agritechnica, the largest agricultural equipment exhibition, in Hannover, Germany.
2018
Bazis participated in Intellus in Philadelphia (USA) and EphMRA in Basel (Switzerland). Olga Adushkina met with research partners in Mexico, visited Lyon and Paris (France) for meetings with research agencies, and attended the TRA Service Design workshop in Copenhagen (Denmark). In August, Bazis celebrated its 12th anniversary.
2017
The first presentation at the PBIRG conference in Chicago (USA) featured Anna Shulgina’s well-received research on health self-monitoring. Participating in the ESOMAR Congress in Berlin (Germany) for the first time, Anna Shevalova was impressed and inspired by new business connections and insights. Dinara Akhmatdinova attended the Agritechnica exhibition in Hannover (Germany). Our first mobile application, AgroTracker, was launched!
2016
Anna Shulgina’s research was accepted, and she, along with Ekaterina Perina, presented it at the EphMRA conference in Frankfurt, Germany. The study focused on perceptions of a healthy lifestyle in Eastern and Western cultures.
2015
Bazis Group researchers participated in and represented the company at the ESOMAR Congress in Dublin, the annual TRA meeting in Istanbul, the AMA Summer Conference in Chicago, and the ACR conference in New Orleans.
2014
Bazis Group sponsored the ESOMAR B2B Forum in Atlanta, USA, which brought together over 70 researchers specializing in the B2B sector from more than 10 countries. Anna Shulgina was awarded a research grant from The Research Alliance to conduct a significant study on “healthy appearance and healthy behavior” in Russia, China, and Turkey.
2013
Bazis Group partner Tatyana Barakshina chaired the ESOMAR CEE Research Forum in Prague, Czech Republic. Bazis Group also participated in the Research&Results exhibition in Munich, Germany, showcasing its expertise as a leading B2B research specialist in Russia.
2012
The new branding of Bazis Group was unveiled at the ESOMAR Congress in Atlanta, USA. Ekaterina Perina was appointed as Research Director for Bazis Group in Russia. Tatyana Barakshina enrolled in a PhD program in Marketing at the University of Illinois at Chicago, focusing on collaboration with clients and partners in the USA.
2011
Bazis IG hosted the annual meeting of The Research Alliance in Moscow, Russia, bringing together participants from 11 countries. Over three productive days, the team refined a plan for jointly offering services to global research companies on multi-country projects.
Research consultant Anna Shulgina received a scholarship from the company to pursue a master’s degree in Marketing at the Higher School of Economics (Moscow).
2010
Research consultant Ekaterina Perina won the “BIG Award” in Lyon, France, for the best presentation of the research project “Projective Methods in Qualitative Research” at the annual meeting of BIG members.
Bazis IG became a member of the European Pharmaceutical Market Research Association (EphMRA), strengthening its expertise in pharmaceutical and healthcare research.
2009
Bazis IG joined the international research association Business Information Group (BIG). This knowledge-sharing association became an additional source for exchanging research processes, client requirements, and best practices.
2008
One of the most exciting projects of the year was a study for a leading global manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, covering 12 countries across the CIS, Asia, and the Middle East. Bazis IG analysts traveled worldwide, conducting focus groups, interviews, and on-site visits. The team faced challenges such as rockslides in Artvin (on the Turkey-Georgia border), underground expeditions in Johannesburg (South Africa), trying horse meat in Karaganda (Kazakhstan), and dealing with the construction mafia in Dnipro (Ukraine).
Research Director Tatyana Barakshina was elected to the ESOMAR Council for 2009-2010. She became the first Russian researcher to join the council of this truly global association, which unites over 5,000 research professionals.
2007
Bazis IG joined The Research Alliance as the exclusive representative in Russia. This network of independent research agencies from more than 20 countries in Asia, Europe, and the Americas became a valuable source of reliable partners for multi-country projects and a platform for collaboration and sharing advanced research expertise.
Bazis IG moved to a new office equipped with a specially built focus group room and a convenient observation area, featuring web streaming capabilities.
2006
Bazis IG officially opened its office in the Antey Business Center. A significant milestone was the launch of a syndicated project with Russian telecom giant Megafon in the second half of the year. The project included a sample of 5,000 respondents across 12 regions of Russia, followed by more than 20 focus groups for one of the top three telecom companies in Russia. This challenging endeavor elevated the company to a new level of competitiveness.
